🏔️ Hello adventurers! Today, we're taking you on a journey through the wild beauty of Mount Volujak! 🌄
🌲 Mount Volujak is situated on the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Its ridge used to be the border between the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire, which can still be seen through well-preserved border towers along the entire ridge, stretching over 2,000 meters.
🏞️ As it descends attractively towards the Piva Canyon, Volujak offers an unforgettable view, with the highest dam in the Balkans located not far from Mratinje.
🏘️ Gacko is the largest town near Mount Volujak, fostering tourism by showcasing the beauty of this mountain massif. Nearby is Klinje, one of the first dams in the Balkans, which continues to awe visitors with its stone arcade.
🌊 Jagodno Lake below the K*k cliff further enriches the landscape of this area, joining hands with Maglic and Bioc, forming a unique mountain wreath.
🚶♀️🚶♂️ The entrance to Mount Volujak from the Bosnian side is usually through the Čemerno pass, passing through high pastures alongside Mount Lebršnik, offering unique beauty and a landscape typical of these regions.
🏞️ Trnovačko Lake, visible from many peaks of Volujak, offers unforgettable views, especially from peaks over 2,000 meters.
🏞️ Part of Mount Volujak belongs to the Sutjeska National Park, while beyond the inter-state border lies the Piva Nature Park.
🏔️ One of the recommended tours is Papin do - Velika Vlasulja. The path leads through beautiful landscapes from the Papin do mountain lodge to the striking rock formation called K*k. Following that, a three-hour ascent to the summit of Velika Vlasulja awaits, with a view of the peaks of Mount Maglic and Mount Bioc.
🕒 This tour takes about five and a half hours, with an elevation difference of 886 meters, starting at 1,450 meters and reaching the summit at 2,336 meters.
