Story with 2 possible reasons why I had a free scoop of pistachio ice cream (requested for a small cup. Original size is 2.5 marks, €1.25)

1. I had zero cash and staff didn't want to take a card payment. Service staff said i could come back to pay another day. Gave me for free after knowing that I was leaving the city.

2. This is a staff sized cup whereby they could eat it for free in between serving customers

Had a last walk around

Dome housing the grave of the first president of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović (1925-2003).

Located on a hillside, this Muslim cemetery (Šehidsko Mezarje Kovači) is filled 2,500 white headstones. Sad to say, this city of is dotted by many of them. Here are the graves of some of the 11,500 civilians and defenders of Sarajevo killed during the 1992-1996 siege.


Just couldn't resist the prettiness. Don't know if they are any good.1kg/50 marks.Worked out to be about SGD1 per piece ...

The ware is traditionally made of copper and by hand. Coffee grounds are ground, and served without a filter.

Served without milk, and a hard cube of sugar and a Turkish delight. The sugar is not meant to be dissolved in the cup, instead one is to bite into it for the sweet accompaniment to the coffee. One can dip the sugar cube into the coffe before biting into it too. It is said that this made it attractive for Bosnian kids to have the coffee.

Ćevapi, ćevapčići is a grilled dish of minced meat, and is considered a national dish of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and is also common in Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
