TAZ #2 - VIDEO TEASER:
FULL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXd1R-YgZWY
This performance & jam session happened in the Museum of History of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo on 13.01.2019. It is a gathering spontaneously created by multiple local bands and music projects (electronic, funk, punk, ambient) as a way to pay respect for the musical heritage of Adi Lukovac - one of the most innovative and futuristic electronic musicians in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who died in 2006.
-
The first part consisted of a contemporary dervish dance performance to accompany certain musical pieces of Adi Lukovac whose spiritual and creational roots are deeply embedded in various spiritual philosophies, including the universal Sufi philosophy - but also a punk approach to creation.
-
Since his work relied deeply on experimentation, self-organized music production and improvisation, the event was created in that spirit; from the self-organization in production through no-budget solidarity, to the ending result - the jam session. It represents a current state of energy in one part of the young Sarajevo, Mostar and Zenica music/performance art scene.
-
The initiative was formed through the nomadic collective and upcoming Sarajevo jam session label TAZ 22. The goal is to re-awaken the spirit of immediacy, spontaneity, and improvisation in the art scene of Sarajevo.
