Grafički dizajner Michal Batory, poznat međunarodno svojim velikim opusom u oblasti plakata, proglašen je vitezom umjetnosti i pisma, Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, u Francuskoj.
Michal je 2014. učestvovao u projektu Sarajevo100, a ovo je njegov plakat za Sarajevo.

SARAJEVO100
International invitational poster action

Sarajevo100 is an international invitational poster action organized by the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Academy of Fine Arts Sarajevo, and the Department of Art and Design of Missouri State University, Springfield, USA.

In the light of the centennial commemoration of the assassination of Archduke Franc Ferdinand, 30th anniversary of the 14th Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, and in memory of 1992-95 war and siege of Sarajevo, over 200 international and regionally recognized as well emerging designers responded to our call with their personal creative points of view to the assigned theme – Sarajevo100 (1914-2014). The project is enriched by the creative contributions of students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and USA.

The result of the action is a collection of over 250 posters and new media projects that will be exhibited in 2014 at the Sarajevo City Gallery Collegium Artisticum (June), at the Vila Mediterranee in Marseille (July), at the 13th International Poster Biennial in Mexico and 11th Golden Bee, Moscow, Russia (October), as well at the MSU Department of Art and Design galleries, Springfield, USA. (November).

Coordinators of project are: Cedomir Kostovic for International selection, Amra Zulfikarpasic for regional selections, Dalida Karic-Hadziahmetovic for academic cooperation, and Mila Melank for organization as whole.

Milton Glaser (June 26, 1929 - June 26, 2020)
Milton Glaser, a graphic designer who changed the vocabulary of American and world visual culture of the end of the 20th century with his posters, magazines, book covers and record covers, passed away yesterday in New York, on his 91st birthday. He worked until the end of his life, and the most famous are his Bob Dylan poster with psychedelic hair "I ❤️ NY" logo.
At the invitation of Cedomir Kostović, who also creates in the USA, Glaser, together with Mirko Ilić, made a poster-diptych "Sarajevo", for the project "Sarajevo100", which was realized by ULUPUBIH in 2014.

Milton Glaser (26. 6. 1929 - 26. 6. 2020)
Milton Glaser, grafički dizajner koji je svojim plakatima, časopisima, omotima knjiga i omotima ploča mijenjao vokabular američke i svjetske vizuelne kulture kraja XX vijeka, preminuo je juče u New Yorku, na svoj 91. rođendan. Do kraja života je radio, a najpoznatiji su njegov poster Boba Dylana sa psihodeličnom kosom "I ❤️ NY" logotip.
Na poziv Čedomira Kostovića, koji takođe stvara u USA, Glaser je, zajedno sa Mirkom Ilićem uradio plakat-diptih "Sarajevo", za projekat "Sarajevo100", koji je ULUPUBIH realizovao 2014. godine.

The diptych poster created by Milton Glaser and Mirko Ilic for the Sarajevo100 project is part of a large exhibition at the BiH Art Gallery that represents the work of Milton Glaser. The exhibition runs through February 29, 2020.
Plakat diptih koji su za projekat Sarajevo100 uradili Milton Glaser i Mirko Ilić dio je velike postavke u Umjetničkoj Galeriji BiH koja predstavlja rad Miltona Glasera. Izložba traje do 29. februara 2020.
