Some festival guests simply stay with you. ❤️
Yegan Mazandarani and William Keo from Four Eyes Editions came to Sarajevo this year to lead a workshop at Sarajevo Photography Festival, and somewhere along the way, we completely fell in love with them! Their energy, generosity, humour and the way they approach photography and life.

We enjoyed this beautiful interview with them in ICON Magazine, interviewed by Vanja Ratković during the festival.

A really wonderful read (we took with us at the top of Durmitor to enjoy).

↳ We’re honored to have welcomed photographer Lisa Hu (Lisa Hu | 胡擂擂) to , presenting her long-term documentary project A Proper Place — four years spent photographing 25 first-generation Chinese immigrant women living in the Netherlands, women navigating language barriers, traditional gender roles, and the quiet weight of being caught between two cultures.

↳ The project lives on in a limited-edition photobook combining a bilingual interview book with a 6.5-meter fold-out silk photo scroll, entirely designed by the artist.

↳ Lisa herself has lived in the Netherlands for over twenty years, and describes never quite feeling fully at home there, nor in the country she left behind. Through this project, she found something she wasn’t looking for: photography itself became her sense of belonging. Not tied to language or appearance, but to being seen, heard, and respected.

↳ A Proper Place is a powerful reminder that identity isn’t always a fixed address — sometimes it’s something we build, frame by frame.

↳ It was a true privilege to host Lisa in Sarajevo. Thanks to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in BiH, whose support made this exhibition possible — we’re grateful to welcome you among our festival partners.

↳ One of our favorite moments at SPF this year was celebrating 25 years of No Man’s Land — a film that left an unforgettable mark on cinema.

↳ With Danis Tanović, original memorabilia, and a room full of stories, we got to experience a little piece of film history coming back to life.

↳ Maybe it’s time for a rewatch?
