On June 17th SYPM project had its closing ceremony. After almost 3 months of hard work all the clubs had a chance to present what they did in their sessions.

Their works are simply amazing!!!! Each club can be proud of themselves!!!

At the end everybody had the same feelings: the feelings of joy, pride, gratitude but sadness also because the end of the project came.

We have done an AMAZING job and are proud of ourselves!!!
We are looking forward to participating in some similar activities!!!

On the 3rd of June, the participants of our project had the 2nd workshop with David Fisher,a renowned and well experienced theatre actor and teacher-trainer.

They did some warm-up improvisation exercises and expressed their general opinions of the book they had read and how they'd describe it to someone.

David prepared a script for the students which they later acted out with some help and instructions.

We can't wait to see what our actors will create !

On June 4th, the Art Club had their fourth session with the instructor Sabina Skenderovic.
They tried a new way of expressing themselves: through graphic novels and cartoons.
The main focus of the session was the use of graphic novels and cartoons to tackle important issues.
They were introduced to two popular novels : 'The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian' ( which contains powerful cartoons) by Sherman Alexie, and also 'I am Alfonso Jones', a graphic novel, by Tony Medina.
They connected these two works with the novel Dear Martin by Nic Stone as well.

On June 2nd Literature Club had its 5th session with their instructor Amila Smolo.
They continued the work they started in their 4th session and finished writing letters inspired by the letters the main character Justyce has written to Martin Luther King.
They also talked about the closing ceremony and agreed on the way they should present their works.
Even though they officially finished, they will meet one more time to prepare for the closing ceremony.
Well done Literature Club!!!.

A BONUS ACTIVITY FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE PROJECT thanks to Big Ben and Sabina Skenderovic.
Thank you very much🥰

On May 27th David Fisher, a theatre actor and an experienced teacher-trainer held a workshop. He introduced himself to the students and explained the goal of his workshops, to promote drama in education, to create shows, but only if students are willing to do that, no pressure.
Students had a chance to enjoy his lovely British accent and communicate in an open and relaxed way.
Looking forward to our next session!

On May 29th, the members of the project had the chance to talk to Lindsay Bryda, a Fulbright scholar from Washington DC once again.
This time, they learned some new information about two terms, which none of them knew about before - paper son and zoot suit.
They made quick presentations to each other about the mentioned terms and talked about what they found interesting related to the topic.
They also connected these terms with the modern times.

On the 28th of May, the Art Club had their third session with the instructor Sabina Skenderovic.

This time, they talked about justice and media, and described how they relate to them both verbally and visually, through art.
They continued to expand their knowledge about 3D based pedagogy and used the DAR (Describe, Analyse, Relate) technique.
They successfully designed three models which represent their beliefs regarding media.

What they all agreed upon is that media can often be dangerous and biased, just like it was proven in the book by Nic Stone, and we should be more careful of what we consider ''the truth''.
