Y’all always annoying the f**k out of me and saying I only read dark, edgy and depressing s**t. Well, for your information, I’ve been loving this lil manga. It’s about a girl named Happy, who, despite her name, is a rather miserable individual that tries her best to be happier in life. I usually hate slice of life comedies, as they are utterly pacifing to read, but this one nails the funny with the real life anxiety that most of us go through. The writing is also very witty and dynamic, so you can never predict how a usually generic situation will turn out.

Aight, John fully transformed, so we good. Since the series took a much less-appealing shounen approach, I assume this is where it ends, for this arc. Unless, they trick us and John goes crazy again? Nah, the “John, you’re ready part” coming from his sister settled it. But a part of me still feels as if something f**ked is coming, like this series has a poltergeist (it’s cosmic/survival horror start) that appears every now and then to remind us that, yeah while MAD did change course to a much more boring and standard shounen direction, there’s still something darker lurking in this manga. I HOPE TO GOD I’M RIGHT BECAUSE THIS WHOLE LITTLE ARC WAS HONESTLY VERY FORMULAIC AND BORING FOR ME.

Julian, Julian is def not the guy you want around when people are talking about taking slaves and s**t. And even without the willpower of the other souls in him, I am 100% sure a SINGLE FATHER is definitely stomping out everyone else in the room when it comes to pure f**king grit. And that’s exactly what happened. That being said, whenever a battle starts out well for our guys in Centuria, it means one of two things:
- We’re about to find out something very bad (Like after the last battle we found out about Lacrima being a flesh puppet)
- Someone from our crew dies a very grizzly death

Ain’t no one doing it like Delinquent Gacha. Funny, serious, actual themes told through the stories, then the same themes getting parodied a second later, and ALL of that done in like, one f**king chapter. Man, it takes some skill to be this f**king witty with your storytelling. This mangaka should always switch up genres completely when he does a new project. I hope he does a horror slice of life next.

Yeeeeesh, ANOTHER chap where we get a TON of Bibi as a kid and then a scene with them being all touchy feely??? Man, I always get the feel that I’m dirty and that I need to go shower when I read this series. It rings all the alarms in my head, with every parallel drawn between a current situation where Bibi wants his affection and then showing them when she was a kid, idk it makes me wanna puke.

More and more I believe in the theory that Asura becomes one of these demons that eat people and then torture them in hell. This sort of power is corrupting my boy, since both his physical and mental state are starting to stray away from that of a human. The question is, if this manga goes on for longer than others (aka over 50 chaps), what will we see? Just Asura constantly sendin criminals to hell? There’s gotta be more to this story, at least from the supernatural angle, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

WITH THAT OUT THE WAY THO, the Alda x John team-up is here, and Pano’s coming as reinforcements. Will it be enough to beat this twisted mutation? Probably, but the horned alien or Leon’s team will come to claim some heads right after, so this all will end in disaster for our squad, no matter how hard they fight.

Kujiki is the cutest animal ever, but I like that he IMMEDIATELY goes apex predator whenever someone puts hands on his brother. On another note, a lot more dialogue in the last few chapters, which I love and hate, as all the mystical and ethereal vibes of the manga are now out the window.

The thing that stuck is this mathematical approach to the occult, the supernatural, as we see a fat-based ointment that let’s you walk on water (Jesus you f**king fraud) AND we find out that shikigami are much more complicated than one might assume. ALSO, WHY THE F**K WAS MIYATO GIVEN A CHILD TO BURY?????
