One of my favorite memories is painting my first portrait. I remember feeling both excited and nervous as I tried to capture every detail on the canvas. It wasn’t perfect, but seeing the face slowly come to life with each brushstroke gave me a sense of accomplishment I had never felt before.

When my granddaughter was born, I crocheted her very first blanket—a little piece of love to welcome her into the world. Not long after, I made her a second one as she grew.

Now she’s outgrown them both, and my son asked if I could make her something bigger. So I got to work and created a new blanket just for her—this time a full 2 yards by 2 yards!

It’s amazing to see how much she’s grown, and it means so much to me to keep stitching love into every stage of her life.
