It takes a whole community to make basketball happen, and our officials are a huge part of ours.

Across Juniors, Seniors and Premier League this Winter season, our referees and scoretable officials have given countless hours to our competitions – showing up week after week and helping create the environment that allows our players, coaches and teams to take the court.
Our People and our Member Experience are at the heart of what we do. Recognising and supporting our officials is an important part of building a strong Wizards community and ensuring our competitions continue to thrive.

Swipe through to see our Top 10 Most Active Referees and Scoretable Officials across each competition. 👏

To everyone who officiated this season – whether your name appears on these lists or you worked one game or one hundred – thank you for the contribution you make to Northside Wizards.

A special congratulations to those topping our lists this Winter! 🥇🥈🥉

We’d also like to thank our Officials Program Partner, Reliable Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd, for their continued support of our officials and the development of officiating at Northside Wizards. 💙

🏀🧙 THAT’S A WRAP FROM PERTH! 🧙🏀

Our U14 Boys have officially wrapped up their week at the Basketball Australia 2026 U14 Foot Locker Club Championships.

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for in their final game, with the boys going down in their 5th/6th Shield playoff, but there is so much more to take away from this week than the final score. 💙🩵

The opportunity to compete against quality teams from across Australia, experience basketball at a national level and share a week like this together is something these boys can be incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to our coaches, team staff and families for everything you’ve contributed to making this experience possible, and congratulations to our players on representing Northside Wizards on the national stage. 🧙🏀

Safe travels home, everyone — we hope you’ve made some fantastic memories along the way! 💙🩵

Hi Wizards Families,

Ready to try a different format of basketball? 🏀 🧙🏻‍♂️

With no Junior Domestic games scheduled on Saturday 10 October, Northside Wizards has teamed up with MADE Concepts Pty to bring a FIBA 3x3 Basketball Tournament to the Northside Indoor Sports Centre, Zillmere!

Rather than letting a weekend without Domestic Competition go to waste, we saw a great opportunity to give our members the chance to experience a different format of the game — right here at their home venue.

🏀 MAKE YOUR OWN TEAM!

One of the best parts about this event is that you get to put your own team together!

This isn't based on your regular Northside Wizards Domestic Club teams. Players can grab their friends, choose who they want to play with and create their own 3x3 team for the day.

Want to team up with friends who normally play for a different Northside Wizards club? Go for it! 🙌

Brendale Bobcats Basketball Club, Aspley Devils Basketball Club, Chermside Redbacks Basketball Club, Petrie Pythons Basketball Club, Bracken Ridge Panthers Basketball, North Lakes Hawks Basketball Club, Tigers Basketball Club, Everton Timberwolves Basketball Club NGBL Basketball Club - Northside Girls Basketball League — it doesn't matter which club you normally play for. This is an opportunity to mix things up, play alongside different friends and have some fun with basketball in a completely different format.

So start the group chat, get your team together and come up with a team name! 👀

🏀 WHAT IS 3x3?

3x3 is a fast-paced, half-court format of basketball played with three players on the court per team.

With fewer players, a smaller court and a different style of play, there are plenty of touches and opportunities to get involved.

Whether you've played 3x3 before or have never tried it, this is your chance to give it a go!

🧙🏻‍♂️ WIZARDS MEMBERS GET 50% OFF!

As part of our partnership with Made Concepts, Northside Wizards members can enter a team for just $50 — that's 50% off the standard $100 team entry fee!

📅 Saturday 10 October
📍 Northside Indoor Sports Centre, Zillmere
⏰ Tournament Games: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
💰 Wizards Members: $50 per team

Divisions available:
Under 11 | Under 13 | Under 15 | Under 18 | Open Men | Open Women

👉 REGISTER YOUR TEAM – WIZARDS MEMBER RATE:
https://play.fiba3x3.com/events/7ef49609-c934-43d7-846d-17ad0defffe3

Please note: This registration link is exclusively for Northside Wizards members and provides access to the discounted $50 team entry.

🏀 WANT TO LEARN 3x3 FIRST?

New to 3x3? Made Concepts will also be running an optional 3x3 Skills & Introduction Session from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM before the tournament.

This session is specifically focused on the FIBA 3x3 format, helping players learn more about the rules, gameplay, competition structure and skills used in 3x3 basketball before taking the court.

💰 $10 per player
⏰ 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

👉 REGISTER FOR THE 3x3 SESSION:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/basketball-skills-camp-northside-wizards-tickets-2002411191778

The session is completely optional — you do not need to attend to participate in the tournament.

🧙 GET YOUR CREW TOGETHER!

This one is all about trying something different.

Pick your teammates. Play with your friends. Mix clubs. Make your own team. And give 3x3 a go! 🏀

Places will depend on registrations, so start putting your crew together and get your team registered.

We can't wait to see what teams our Wizards members come up with! 🧙🏻‍♂️ 🏀

Together We Are Wizards.
