Behind the Scenes: In our game "The Portal", we have a secret super hard puzzle. It's quite different to the rest of the game, and has a 10 minute time limit. Only about 1/10 groups see it. Today, we had a writer play our game, and she just tucked away all the breadcrumbs of story into her brain,l throughout the game and she solved this super secret, difficult puzzle in only 90 seconds. BY FAR the fastest we've ever seen. It's always so impressive how different peoples brains work.

As with all our new games, in our first few months we love asking players what they enjoyed, if they felt anything was missing, and what their "wishlist" would be.

Over the covid lockdowns, a small brisbane based studio made a fan short film about Five Nights at Freddies, and it went BONKERS online!
Next month, they are releasing their sequal in a live showing at a Brisbane cinema.

Oh my...
I was finally able to play Intruders at in Sydney. And wow.

This game has been overhyped to me over the past 3 years, and the game actually beat the hype. This might be tied for my favourite game I've ever played.

It's almost not an Escape Room, as there are only about 6 puzzles across the entire game. But its theatrics, showmanship, effects, story fill the runtime of the game with plenty to do. As a horror experience, it is top notch!

Now this is a new one!
Heart of the Mountain in Sydney is a new game, by a new group in the Escape Room world.

Their design team's background is in Theme Park fabrication, and it shows! The internal set of this game is utterly outstanding. This includes running water, moving minecarts and a little Disney style visual trickery.
This game advertises itself more as a whole family experience, and it's amazing! I hope to see more from this design team in the future.

We played the latest room from .

The Mine was highly regarded by its designers before we played, and the game delivered. With some spooky theatrical moments, and lots of space to move and get quite physical, this makes quite good use of a high player count. As some games can feel a bit lacklustre with more people, this felt like a very good spread of things to do for our team of 6 experienced players.
