ODDFELLOWS HALL 2010-2014
In mid 2010 artist Kim Nelson embarked on a personal project in his hometown of Yass, NSW - leasing an historic Oddfellows' Hall as a public studio. The following years saw the project become a major cultural tourism attraction featuring many events including the Centenary exhibition of his artist uncle Leonard Long, OAM. In March 2014 Nelson left Oddfellows' and in July
'YASSarts', a regional arts project he had started, took on a temporary lease of the property. It became a regional arts centre and staged eight exhibitions featuring varied artists of the region organized by the YASSarts committee. The lease ended on 10th December 2014 and was not renewed as the building was scheduled for sale.
