Let's all work together to keep our Community safe this mango season

This Thursday, September 11 (10am–2pm) we’re inviting the whole Yarrabah community to come together for something powerful — the R U OK? Community Walk.

👉 Starting point: YASC Works Department @ 10am
👉 Finishing point: Bishop Malcolm Park
Side by side, we’ll walk as one — showing that when we check in, ask “R U OK?” and really listen, we keep our families, friends and community strong.🙏🏾🌿
And that’s just the beginning! 🎉 Once we arrive at Bishop Malcolm Park, stay and celebrate with:

Blue Trees are a symbol of Hope & Support for those amongst us who are feeling under pressure.
A Blue Tree is designed to spark difficult conversations and encourage people to speak up and reach out when experiencing mental health concerns.
Blue Trees are found on every continent, except Antarctica, and serve as symbols of hope and serve as a visual reminder for us to check in on loved ones and mates who might be struggling.

Great day today seeing the Youths of Fiji coming to Yarrabah and sharing their culture. Well Done all involved. Hope to see more events like this in our community.

URGENT PUBLIC HEALTH NOTIFICATION!

There is potentially another meningococcal case in Yarrabah. (Awaiting final test results).

Meningococcal Infections pose a serious risk to Yarrabah Community members.

Please be on the lookout for the symptoms and if you or a loved one has any of the symptoms go straight to ED .

Every second counts.

The best prevention is immunisation, please come to our free immunisation clinics.
