It’s hard to imagine why anyone would pour everything they have into building a place for others — until you meet Sar.
From our very first coffee date, it was clear to me she was someone who loves art deeply, believed wholeheartedly in its power, and had made it her mission to bring people closer to it. Whether through exhibitions, a space to come and work and share moments with fellow artists, or even further still, offering long-form residencies of which I’m lucky enough to be a recipient.
At every stage of my residency, Sar’s support was unmatched. Truly selfless, enthusiastic all through the long nights, and driven by the purest desire to help me develop my practice and bring my exhibition to life. I pinched myself every day for having the privilege of working in that gorgeous studio.
It’s not easy to put into words what this has meant to me as a person, as an artist, and as a Central Coast local who has deeply longed for a place like Kamispace. I am forever changed for the better. So grateful to have crossed paths when we did and to become nothing short of soul sisters 🫶
I’m beyond excited to watch Kamispace’s epic upcoming projects come to life, the fun is just beginning.
All my love x thank you
