We had another great day

An Interesting Social this month. Good turnout. Maxine was our Spotlight Artist and sang us 4 lovely country songs and gave us a lesson in yodeling. It sounded good all around the hall. Before that, Maxine read a couple of poems specifically for our Veterans as it is a special Month of remembrance. Thank you Maxine. We had some new people in our audience because of the advertising we do on the social pages. 3 people joined up on the day. We had 2 new singers. One was Mike who played a 12 string guitar as he performed and the other was Veronica who sang some lovely songs. They'll be back I'm sure because the audience loved them. We missed our 2 regular Bass players. Gary is overseas "livin the dream" and Joe is having some health issues. Thinking of you Joe. We had to alternate our 2 lead players to play Bass for the day. All in all, everyone went home happy I'm sure. Here are some photos and videos of our day

Another Social come and gone. We had 20 walk-ups and another 28 bums on seats. It was a very windy day down here by the Bay and I thought we may have reduced numbers. But 48 was good for our little club. Firstly I would like to give a big shout out to Twin Rivers CMC. Most of Bayside CMC band is made up of TRCMC musicians. Bayside has been associated with TR for many years. It is good that it works out this way because many Country music Clubs are struggling at the moment to keep going because there are few young ones interested in old country nowadays. Being down by the bay we attract local audiences to help our club to keep afloat. I would like to also give a shout out to a few members of Bayside and TR that are doing it a bit tough at the moment. Nellie, who is in hospital at the moment. Greg, the husband of Gloria, one of our singers, is recovering from an op and Joe, one of our bass guitarists is struggling with an ongoing debilitating disease. We hope you all get better ASAP. Shirley was our Spotlight artist this month and did a fantastic job with her four songs. Speaking of clubs helping each other. Margaret from Gold Coast CMC. helped with the sewing of our new stage banner. Thank you Margaret. I am also uploading a couple of photos of our practice venue. We normally get around 13 keen singers. We had a visitor from another Margaret who sang us 2 lovely songs. Thanks for visiting Margaret. All in all, a good day.
