Sad to hear that another Arts Trail run by the council has been cancelled. I have my thoughts but just wanted to acknowledge all the hard work of the people who try for arts in local communities :) 😫 I was very honoured to be part of one for the last two years, having not really qualified due to where i live for other local ones.
Supporting local artisans can look like lots of things its not necessarily about buying a painting most artists i know just want to share what they get up to with people who are interested :)
Thankyou to everyone who supported the arts trail.

I had a whole story written about this and Instagram has wiped it as I have gone to publish 😭

Instead all I'm going to say is that this second painting was started over 30years ago and I don't remember ever finishing. Yet the concept of what art I create was lost and is found in art I'm creating today.
Discovery of who you are what you want to say sometimes takes almost a whole lifetime to discover. When you realize it's something you have had all along is both frustrating and rewarding at the same time. ❤️ It feels true to be connected to yourself in this place.

My hope is my kids and others don't have to wait a lifetime to get support and love to honor the fabulousness that is them/you. Remember to pause and keep going with kindness to youself and others that's what is important to find your way 💗😘🤗

Just found some more old old photos of my coloured pencil works. I share them not to boast or anything daft like that ... just to share it takes practice we all start somewhere ... i remember this project with the jug was one of my initial proper lessons i was given in pencils in an online forum and was only using 3 pencils one was white and the other two were complimentary colours (red and green). It was a super valuable lesson in mixing colours and also layering pencils.

This one if i remember correctly i blended the pencils with a colourless copic marker as well as the blender pencils. It took me forever :)

In preparation for my workshops next year I've been getting back to coloured pencils. Many years ago when I was first teaching workshops I was selling pencils for between $2-3 for the class.. I've just seen some pencils up to $8-9 each which is more than the fancy oil pastels 😳

It's great to see the quality pencils finally get the recognition they deserve as they are super good quality artists pigments and therefore the art created with it on par with other arts materials, but also wow the prices have jumped a lot 🤗

Very excited for Walter's Walter Brecely exhibition.❤️
I have been busy help organising all the things it takes to put together a solo exhibition (it's alot) including the printed invites, socials and things like Catalogs photos to be on display etc. it's going to be an amazing show. I will be down there helping with the gallery Bowral Art Gallery Everyone is invited and I can't wait it's going to be fabulous I'm so proud. Please let me know if U are heading along I'd love to catch-up.

I havent had a chance to do promos and finalisations for my workshops next year yet... but wanted to share here so you can ask questions and let me know if you are interested the details are on my websites for bookings:)

I am looking to bring along all my pencils for the intermediates workshops and add in some extra demos / exercises for things like drafting film etc. which is an extension of the beginners class. The idea is that you come to both classes and get a good taste without having to go out and buy lots of materials but come an learn the techniques in the Beginners and there is an option for the Intermediates if you like it. Stay tuned for more info the coming weeks :)
