Last weekend was our Opening of our Group Exhibition Moments Captured. It was a cold rainy Saturday but we had a few keen supporters come to enjoy our works. It was lovely to see people connect with our art and enjoy it.
I have two new works included in this exhibition. “From the Cover of Dark” a gorgeous sugar glider. And “Watchful Joey” an Eastern Grey Kangaroo Joey.

I have some very exciting news. I have been invited along with some very talented artists to hold a combined exhibition. This is my first time exhibiting my work and I feel very honoured to be included.
It all begins Saturday the 25 July and runs through till Sunday 9 August 2026. The location is the Ray Oliver Gallery at Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead.
On show will be some beautiful watercolour, amazing oils, incredible graphite and pencil work and my detailed soft pastel paintings.
Come along and say hello, check out our work, explore the homestead and stop for lunch or coffee and snack at the on site cafe.

Another completed commission in February was this wee cutie. Thistle was painted with soft pastel and pastel pencils and measures 30cm x 40cm. Commissioned as a special birthday gift I had to wait until the exchange was complete before the reveal.

This morning our Friday art group all had lots of fun with pastels. We all worked on the same reference photo which was a beautiful Australian landscape. Although I’m used to pastels, my challenge was to keep everything loose, block in colour and avoid details. We were all lost in the deep rich colours of the outback. A great morning with lots of laughs.

February was a busy month in the studio with another few commissions. This was a very special request of this beautiful young mastiff. With a few great options of reference photos we finally decided on two and combined them into one frame. The first was this girl as a young pup. The other a more recent grown up shot. Such a beautiful and expressive young girl who was a true pleasure to paint.

A lovely commission of this little cutie. Border collie Penny with her beautiful rich red coat had me eagerly reaching for all my copper, mahogany, crimson, chocolate and golds.

I want to wish all my followers a Merry Christmas. This portrait of Belle has been quietly awaiting Christmas Day for its unveiling. A commission request from two of my childhood friends as a gift to their mother. Size is 28 x 28cm. All that fluffy fur was a new challenge and those blue, blue eyes just draw you in. She was such a pleasure to paint.

This was another special project I finished this year. A memorial to Zara who sadly passed last year. Zara was mother to our own Indi, grandmother to Raven and great grandmother to Cricket. Size is A4.
