Miss Ebony is joining STARS of Wollongong for the third time. This year she is back with the MMJ Wollongong again, and is partnered with Tim Jones! ⭐️

STARS is a community-driven, dance gala event. Every year, local business owners are paired up with a local dance teacher to light up the dance floor to raise vital funds for Cancer Council Australia

⭐️ABOUT TIM JONES ⭐️

Tim Jones is the Managing Director of MMJ Wollongong, leading a team of nearly 70 staff while also listing and selling commercial properties across the region and beyond. Positive, enthusiastic, and vibrant, Tim thrives on the fast pace of real estate and the opportunity to meet new people every single day. With decades of experience and a reputation for connection-building, professionalism, and leadership, Tim is known as someone who shows up fully for his team, his clients, and his community.

Tim’s motivation for joining Stars of Wollongong – Dance for Cancer stems from MMJ Wollongong losing one of its most beloved colleagues, Debby Cramp in June 2022. She was an incredible fundraiser for Cancer Council through Australia’s Biggest Morning tea, and an inspiration within the Stars community. Tim sees his participation as a way to honour Debby’s legacy and continue the important fundraising work that she, and the MMJ directors, have carried with such pride.

Heading into the competition, Tim freely admits he is not a dancer, which he considers a strength. As a complete blank canvas, he’s hoping his dance partner can craft a masterpiece with him (or at least something resembling coordinated movement!). But the nerves are real and he’s most worried about upholding the high standard set by previous MMJ directors who have danced before him. He’s determined not to let the team down.

Tim grew up during the golden era of hip hop, so buried somewhere in the vault might be a running man or an Ice Ice Baby moment ready to resurface. Whether these moves make an appearance on stage remains to be seen.

We’re excited to introduce our production team for StarKid’s The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals! Many of those behind our recent smash-hit American Psycho will be returning for our second musical of the year alongside some other familiar faces.

Another year down for Miss Ebony teaching and performing in STARS of Nowra and STARS of Wollongong ⭐️

⭐️Stars of Nowra ⭐️

Mitchell Hodgson from Ray White Berry raised $11,362.00

🏠This routine was inspired by the search for a dream home based on a Barbie and Ken theme. The routine began with a white door marked 'for sale' with both of us blindfolded to highlight the journey of discovery (YES, we really were blindfolded and could not see 😳). This also included a surprise video from Shannon Noll featuring our 'real estate agent'. At the end of the routine, the initial beginning movement was performed in reverse to emphasise a new beginning. The performance concluded with the door being turned to reveal a pink house and a 'sold sign'.

Grad Petrovic from Total Security Services raised $52,385.00

🚨This routine was based on security elements. It started off portraying vigilant security guards holding flashlights. Additionally, the routine depicted an alarm activation alerting an intruder. This was followed by a surprise guest of the Folklorna Grupa "Ravna Gora" Dapto ladies: Lili Cosic, Natasha Gavrilović, Diana Pupovac, Julijana Saponja, and Ivana Vrcelj, who joined us on stage!
