QSSC Open House Weekend

POSTPONED - It is with great sadness that we must inform you all today that we are having to postpone this year's Open House Weekend. Gympie Council have informed us that they will not allow us to host this free community event despite strong local community support. We are utterly disappointed as you can imagine as this event is meant to be a chance for us to give back to, and support our local horse community during the difficult times that we've all been facing. Ultimately it is the community that misses out.

Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to still bring you Open House and we do have plans in place to still sponsor it this year. We will get back to you all with details as soon as we have them.

For those of you who were keen to come along on the weekend and meet and chat with any of our professionals to seek help and assistance with your horse, please just DM us and we'll get an info pack to you or leave your contact number and one of our team will give you a call.

Shane and Meredith would sincerely like to thank all of the wonderful horse care professionals who are not only much valued friends but who had also willingly volunteered their time to bring you all this amazing weekend, as well as our incredible QS community for again donating time and energy to make this weekend the success it would have been.

Are you ready for more great news? We are very happy and proud to let you know that long time QS friend, barefoot trimming master and all round lovely human Peter Laidley will be here for Open House Weekend, doing a couple of seminars (one on Saturday and one on Sunday), sharing his vast knowledge on all things barefoot. We are thrilled that Peter is giving up his time to be here and help others.....his talks are not to be missed. Check the events schedule for seminar times.

We are super, super excited to have QS friend and family member Tracy Leivers from 'Horse Muscle Care', presenting at the Open House Weekend. Tracy will be doing a seminar at 10.30am on Saturday morning. Be sure to be there to meet her and prepared to learn loads.

Horse Muscle Care is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses neuro-muscular release techniques enabling the release of muscle groups relieving pain and discomfort in "SORE HORSES".
This therapy involves gentle pressure being applied to particular points on the horse allowing the muscles to regain their flexibility and range of motion.
Treatments usually take about half an hour and in most cases the results are immediate and noticeable.
I find it easier to come to your horse, rather than you bring your horse to me. This helps with the well being, comfort and safety of your horse.

ONLY TWO MORE WEEKS until the big weekend is here! Are you excited yet? I know we are. Wait until you see what we have lined up for the weekend...so much it's hard to know where to start. But how about with this!
We're thrilled to announce that Master Saddler (and maker of our very own awesome QS saddles) Peter Vellacott will be here, doing a live seminar on Saturday afternoon, as well as being onsite for questions and advice over the weekend.
Peter's saddle have to be seen to be believed, with beautiful quality and design and of course, made to last a lifetime. Peter is the one we trust to make our saddles, that Shane designed many years ago and with Peter's input they are the perfect saddle for all that we do with our horses to keep them comfortable, achieving maximum movement and communication and performing at their best.

FINALLY IT'S TIME! - our exciting news today is that nominations are now OPEN for the 2 mini-clinics during Open House Weekend. 10 lucky people and their horses (5 on Sat and 5 on Sunday) will get the chance to have a 1 hour LIVE LESSON with QS Senior Instructor Mel Peacock who is joining us all the way from Victoria. Saturday's clinic subject is 'Creating a Connection - groundwork' and Sunday is 'Creating Confidence - ridden'. The cost of each clinic is just $50, so if you'd like to nominate to take part WITH YOUR HORSE please do get in touch with us ASAP. Nominations close Friday Sept 2nd unless sold out beforehand.
