Our friends over at St Kilda Retail Australia came out with the goods and did me up a funky brand new pipe bag cover! Last night’s Piper’s Chair Session became somewhat of an unexpected celebration of pipe makers featuring three absolutely stunning instruments made by Michael Casey, two very unique instruments made by our feature piper Linsey Pollak and a beautiful ~130 year old set of Peter Henderson highland pipes from the 1890s! A fantastic evening of live piping at our first ever Piper’s Chair Session here in Brisbane. After reluctantly breaking the ice myself I’d like to thank Cameron, Sean, Lachlan and Andrew for getting up and sharing some tunes with us. Thanks to our feature piper Liam Docherty ( ) for a fantastic closing set and a massive thanks to our wonderful venue, for having us. Good tunes, good food, good beer, good friends. Announcing our feature piper for the first Piper’s Chair Session! We look forward to welcoming 2025 Piping Live ‘Piping Idol’ finalist Liam Docherty () to close the night with a selection of tunes that he played at the world Pipe Band championships last year and a few that he’ll be playing this year! Liam’s off to play at the Grade 1 World Champs with soon so come on down and join us in wishing him luck at on Sunday 14th of June. May as well stick around for some fantastic live piping while you’re here! Blackboard sign-ups from 5:30pm, tunes start at 6pm.
