by day and by night ~ An insight into the world of a body worker/ performer slashie…and I still haven’t figured out how to fit in enough sleep amid this mix… but here I am out the other side.

Woodford this year you really gave me what I needed in all aspects ~ on the mat, on the stage and all the spaces in between. You filled me with love, buried me in energetic homework, gifted me huge challenges, embedded cherished memories and landed me safely in this new year amid a dust storm of love, creativity and inspiration. Thank you

Thank you Ine and Seba for sailing the Zenthai ship, thank you mummy Jade , thank you for having me back at Q***r Ball, thank you to that vegan food van who cooks their chips in olive oil, and to those other individuals who went deep into the intricacies of human-ing alongside me - you know who you are. A mess of Fuchsia, feathers and flirtation; this tired little Fembot is having her motherboards re-wired after having way too much fun at . Thank you for resparking this act and gifting me a playspace to step it up a level. Thank you Q***r Ball for allowing me to muck around with 60’s gender objectifications in a unique social landscape. Thank you for making smoke come out of my machine gun jubblies. Thank you to the sacrificial lambs who sat in the chair and to all those who gave so much love from the spectacular crowds.

CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT for Jan/Feb 💃
Kicking off the new year with our first opportunities to dance together!

THE HIPS ~ Movement Medicine:
🍑🍑🍑
Focus on the hips with a blend of contemporary dance-based movement exploration and mobility training, then take them for a test drive to rhythms from Brazil, Africa, and Latin America as well as some infectious modern beats. We will flow through different grooves and techniques like samba, bellydance and wining to free up some articulation and make sure there are no places left unvisited. No experience needed. No expectations, just a chance to shake those hips out together

6:30PM FOR 3 MONDAYS IN A ROW!!!
JAN 27th 🦭 FEB 3rd 🦭 FEB 10th
$20 per class or $50 for all 3

*These focused classes are a tag on to the usual contemporary movement medicine classes.
These will be at 9am JAN 12th, JAN 26th, JAN 8th

When dance is your love and also your job, you need to consciously feed the origin of your passion otherwise it gets forgotten and overgrown with distraction and judgement and quantification. It's a long road but I feel like Bahia has given me a map for the journey of how to fall back in love with dance. Only love. Only expression. A part of life. For me. For others. Storytelling with our bodies to remember our histories
