Formidable Vegetable once followed a drum and bass act in a heaving dome, armed with a ukulele, a trumpet, and songs about permaculture. Their slide trumpet player improvised what they now call "raver subtitles", acting out every word in interpretive dance. The crowd's verdict? "That was wicked. What's all this permaculture stuff? I want to grow some food."
