Oh Laaa

We're building a supportive network, we're sharing our kids art, we're celebrating exactly who THEY ARE; AND we are looking to make our artwork more professional

Over the next two months, we are painting our walls to 'pop' the kids art, we are building banners to display their creativity, we are looking for ways to build and encourage them.

We are just beginning. We will push to have their abilities know and this is at no cost to parents or schools - in fact - all proceeds will go directly to North Wonthaggi Primary School to assist in school exhibition days to being cheaper - to art facilities being more affordable for parents, for students to have access to more fundamental ways to incorporate their art into mainstream Australia.

We are fighting for cheaper resources, cheaper excursions and more acknowledgement of our children's creativity.

We are proud to have the trailblazers who support this. The funds, the art space, the beginnings of something organic and amazing for a South Gippsland presence long fought for.

Thank you to all the families and parents who support us because with your support - in time - this will be recognised - and we will strive for the work of all children to be acknowledged.

Thankyou to Kerry at Wonthaggi North Primary School for her dream and initiative to understand the quality that every individual has to offer.

Please get behind us - bc in the end it benefits the average Aussie Australian Battler with more free widespread knowledge for their children. Thankyou from our hearts.

GRADE 1 - NOW ON !!

Grade 1 students drew their self-portrait with guidelines to help achieve the correct proportions.

Students used mirrors to check their facial features and listened carefully to instructions to add the required details.

Watercolour paint blocks were used to complete the portrait as well as fine-liner pens for added effect. Looking at Jackson Po***ck, students enjoyed creating the black and white abstract background using pieces of scrunched up paper, pieces of bubble wrap and yarn inspired by the artist’s use of materials other than a paintbrush!

Vote for your favourite artwork/s easily The Salvation Army Thrift Shop Wonthaggi Superstore front counter for 20 cents per vote

all proceeds going to Wonthaggi North Primary School. Artwork sales enquiries can be directed to Kerry McGennisken at Wonthaggi North Primary School on Tel. 5672 4697 or via email on [email protected]

We hope you enjoy the exhibition.

It's a new year with new Art coming our way thanks to North Wonthaggi Primary School - first up is PREPS (these are so good at such a young age you must come see it to believe it) - PHOTOS TO BE UPLOADED THURSDAY (tomorrow)

"Students at WNPS have been developing skills to complete a self-portrait in Art this term. The artworks included in Exhibition #2 are inspired by Todd Parr’s book, ‘IT'S OKAY TO BE DIFFERENT’
and abstract artist, Jackson Po***ck who often ‘painted’ without using a paintbrush! Prep students drew their self-portraits using grey-lead pencil after talking about lines and shapes
they could use in their artworks which connects with other areas of their learning. Foam rollers, pieces of scrunched up paper and even pieces of bubble wrap were used with primary coloured paint to create the interesting backgrounds.

Vote for your favourite artwork/s easily at the Salvation Army Thrift Store front counter for 20 cents per vote - all proceeds going to the school. Artwork sales enquiries can be directed to
Kerry McGennisken at Wonthaggi North Primary School on Tel. 5672 4697 or via email on [email protected]
We hope you enjoy the exhibition.
