At NRG, we believe being an Allstar is about so much more than learning skills and competing on the mat.
While we are passionate about developing strong athletes, we are equally passionate about developing confident, resilient, kind, and capable young people.

Our Mindset Program gives athletes the tools to:
✨ Build confidence ✨ Develop resilience ✨ Learn how to handle challenges and setbacks ✨ Strengthen leadership skills ✨ Create positive habits and routines ✨ Believe in themselves both inside and outside of the gym

Everything we do is guided by our NRG values. We want our athletes to grow not only as performers, but as people.

The lessons learned through mindset training extend far beyond cheer and dance. They help our athletes at school, in friendships, in the workplace, and throughout life.

There is something so special about watching athletes grow up in our studio and hearing them reflect on their journey 💖

Portia has been part of the NRG family for many years, and hearing her speak about the friendships, opportunities, memories, and support she has experienced along the way is incredibly special.

At NRG, our goal has always been about more than dance and cheer. We want every athlete who walks through our doors to feel supported, valued, and confident in who they are both inside and outside of the studio 🫶

PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS DanceStars is designed for children who are brand new to dance or not quite ready for the full commitment of competitive Allstars yet.

It’s the perfect starting point to: ✔ Build confidence ✔ Make friendships ✔ Learn teamwork ✔ Improve coordination & performance skills ✔ Feel part of something special

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT? At NRG, we care about so much more than trophies.

We believe the right community can completely change a child’s confidence, resilience and sense of belonging.
Our coaches don’t just teach dance — they mentor kids through the important tween years with encouragement, kindness and structure.

That’s why DanceStars was created as a lower-cost introduction to the Allstar world, while still giving kids the excitement of:

 DanceStars athletes will train together during Term 3 and work towards ONE exciting competition experience — giving them a taste of what Allstars is all about without the pressure of a full season.

COMMON QUESTIONS WE GET:

“Does my child need experience?” Not at all! DanceStars is specifically designed for beginners.

“My child is shy.” That’s okay! So many of our athletes started nervous. Confidence is something we build over time together.

“Do we need a huge commitment?” Nope! DanceStars is designed to be a manageable and affordable introduction program for families.

“Will they make friends?” Absolutely, Community is one of the biggest reasons families stay at NRG for years.

Listening is a skill and like any skill, it takes time, repetition and practice.

That’s why our classes are highly structured and designed specifically for little learners ✨

Our goal isn’t “perfect behaviour.”
 Our goal is helping children learn confidence, routines, listening skills and independence in a safe and encouraging environment 🫶
