For practising sculptors, exhibitions are more than events. They are places to test ideas, share new work, reconnect with fellow artists, and engage with audiences.

THE FINALISTS HAVE BEEN SELECTED 🎉
Following an exceptional response from artists across Australia and internationally, the finalists for the Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival 2026 have now been selected.

An exciting collection of contemporary sculpture is coming together and, in the coming months, the historic Wollombi Valley will be transformed by artworks from both emerging and established sculptors.

From intimate indoor works to large-scale outdoor installations, visitors can look forward to discovering sculpture throughout the villages & valley from 12–27 September 2026.

SCULPTORS - The clock is ticking, you have until midnight this SUN 3rd MAY to finalise your entries for the Wollombi Valley Sculpture Festival.

With 12 non-acquisitive prizes valued at over $80,000, plus three major exposure prizes including the prestigious Governor’s Prize and the London Sculpture Prize, there’s plenty to aim for.

You’re likely wondering who will be selecting the winners of these great prizes!

We’d like to introduce our distinguished judges for 2026;

ISABEL LANGTRY - Principal, Hampstead School of Art - Isabel was our special guest artist in 2024 and returns in 2026 as a judge and presenter. She will also be selecting the London Sculpture Prize, Australia.

JANE WATTERS is the Director, Galleries for the National Trust of Australia (NSW) and Director of the S.H.Ervin Gallery, Gadigal land (Sydney) a role that she has held since 2001.

JOHN McDONALD is one of Australia’s best-known and respected art critics, with more than 40 years of experience reviewing visual arts, fashion, film, journals and books.

We’re so grateful for the time and expertise they’ll share with us .
