💜 If there’s anything I’ve learned on here, it’s that if I’m anxious to post it, it’s probably worth posting.
Bit of a downer for pride month (still a message of hope) but stuff like this happens to people all the time, hence why we need Pride. It’s a relatively small thing, but relevant to what I do so I thought I’d share.💜
- Quick PSA to business owners - Do not ask potential employees about their gender, orientation, ethnicity, religion, pregnancy, or disability. There are rare occasions where some of that information may be necessary, but it’s generally unlawful for good reason.
💛 If this had happened to me within the last 12 months, I would’ve handled it better and said something, but it wasn’t a very confident time in my life. Take this post as the education I could’ve given!
💖 Finding your support network is so important. You have to put yourself out there to find it. It’s uncomfortable but necessary, and I promise your people are out there!
I’ve found a lot of mine in the performing arts, and I hope others can see me as part of theirs. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️
