The final schedule for the 2026 Outback Writers Festival is here!

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while we've been juggling the schedule. Whilst this is the 'final' version, it may still be subject to change if there are any further hiccups.

Please note that we have had a venue change for both the Book Fair and the opening book launch on Tuesday 23 June - these two events will be held at the Winton Club, and all other scheduled bookish events will take place at the Waltzing Matilda Centre.

Congratulations to Steve on his boardgame!

Interactive boardgames like this one are another form of storytelling, and this one is so intrinsically linked to the outback. "Campdraft" looks like it's going to be incredible fun, and we can't wait to have a play ourselves - hopefully at next year's Outback Writers Festival!
