A snuggle of blankets (I think that’s the collective term!) ready for The Shambles Devizes in Devizes market place tomorrow, Friday 2 Oct. I have pram/buggy size, cot size and single bed/sofa size, all handmade on my sofa! I made a patchwork sofa blanket for a housewarming gift - it’s a great way of using up ends of yarn from projects. Enjoyed it so much that I’ve made another one and also a cot quilt! These are double thickness so should be very snug, as well as colourful.

I’m selling the big blanket (single bed size) for £55 and the cot quilt for £25.

I am so enjoying making these - for no particular reason, just to have a go. I’m not really a sewing type person, but these are made with what I have in my fabric store, snippets of materials and embellishments. Usually I am consciously making the things our people want to buy and so I have forgotten how to just play. We started selling our makes in order to make space to create more, not as a business and I have to remind myself of that, remember the joy of simply creating something. And even more joy when someone actually likes it and wants to buy it!
