⚓ PIRATES TAVERN NEEDS A NEW CREW
Pirates Tavern has survived and thrived because people from our community have been willing to put their hands up and help.
Now, we need the next group of people to step forward.
At this year’s AGM, our President will be stepping down after many years of service. Two other key committee members are also departing, and two staff members will finish at the end of the year.
That leaves some big shoes to fill, but no one person has to fill them alone.
We’re looking for:
⚫ New committee members to help guide the club, plan events and make decisions about operations and staffing. The committee meets once a month, and sharing the workload makes an enormous difference.
⚫ Experienced casual staff with knowledge of not-for-profit clubs, mainly for Friday nights and Sunday afternoons, with occasional Saturday events.
You don’t need to have all the answers. You need to care about the Tavern, be willing to contribute and want to see this special place continue.
If enough people step forward, we can keep the music playing, the doors open and the Pirates Tavern community together for years to come.
If these positions remain unfilled, temporary or permanent closure is a very real possibility. That’s why we’re asking now.
