To all our loving fans, friends and family that have supported the Shuvani at the Abbey Medieval
Festival over the last 17 years and shown us so much love,
It comes with great difficulty and heartache that we inform you that this year we have not been invited to attend the Festival to celebrate the mark of its 30th year anniversary. We were notified a week ago that due to the budget not being extended to our group, the space we normally occupy has now been offered to another group. It’s very hard to put our feelings into words at the moment.
You will still be able to catch us on the 27th and
28th of July at a new and exciting Living History event coming to Old Petrie Town. We really hope we can entertain and delight you there this year instead.
We have loved being part of the Abbey Medieval Festival for the last 17 years, just as much as festival-goers have enjoyed our presence there.
We are aware that images of our group and encampment are still being used to promote the 2019 festival, causing some confusion. If you have the time, please share this post to let others know we have not been invited to attend the Abbey Medieval Festival this year to help avoid disappointment, especially for children.
If you have ever taken the time to chat with us, attend a workshop, dance, laugh or smile with us, we want to say THANK YOU! From the very bottom of our hearts and jingly ankle bells!
Much love and appreciation always,
From the ENTIRE Shuvani Troupe

This will also mean we will not be attending the banquets.
