Been a minute but we’re back with a couple of events over the next week, beginning with a fair at the Kalamunda Tap House this Saturday, 11-3.

Then, Wednesday you can find us in the booth at Northbridge spinning some soul, synthpop, shoegaze and everything in between on their exquisite soundsystem from 6pm til late (we’ll also be bringing a few crates of records to sell). Artwork by .svg

Lots happening today around town, the Vic Park Record Fair is on from 9-2 and then from 12-6 the legends at are launching their brand new community radio station on South Terrace, which will coincide with the High Voltage events taking place throughout Freo today.

One of our favourite tracks of 2022 was ‘Four Seasons’, the debut offering from local indie-folk act Veruca Moon.

Today, Veruca Moon release their second single, ‘Winter Solstice’ - a beautiful, introspective slow-burner which will feature on their upcoming EP.

The gentle jangle of a lone guitar kicks us off before the soothing vocal delivery and rhythm section paint a calm but pensive picture.

The personal lyrics touch upon themes of self-assurance, independence and unfamiliarity as the piece builds to a soaring climax - a trademark characteristic of Veruca Moon which they have proven they can demonstrate so uniquely and expertly.

We’d highly recommend checking this one out if you’re a fan of Angie McMahon, Mazzy Star or Angel Olsen.

‘Winter Solstice’ is available to stream NOW (link below) and you can catch the single launch at Mojo’s Bar on Thursday May 18.

Huge thank you to everyone who came through last weekend for our final day of trade in West Perth, it was by far our biggest day ever and was awesome to see so many familiar faces (and plenty of new ones)

You can find us at in Scarborough tomorrow from 2pm with mates .cuts.records and Heavyweight Vinyl and it’ll be your last chance to have a dig through our crates for a little while as we’ll be taking a break for a couple of months afterwards!
