West Footscray Festival of Colours 2026
The West Footscray Festival of Colours is back for another vibrant celebration of community, culture and colour.
Presented by Sims IGA Plus Liquor West Footscray and myself, this much loved event brings together families, friends and visitors from across Melbourne to celebrate the spirit of Holi, the Indian festival of colours.

Time: 11am to 5pm
Location: IGA Car Park, 512 Barkly Street, West Footscray
While the festival is usually held along Barkly Street, this year we are creating an exciting festival hub in the IGA car park, packed with colour, music and entertainment all day long.
The highlight of the festival is the joyful colour throwing celebration, where crowds come together in a burst of vibrant colour, laughter and celebration.
Throughout the day you can enjoy a huge range of family friendly entertainment, including:
• Colour throwing celebrations
• Activities for kids
• Market stalls and local traders
• Craft activities and kids entertainment
• Free Face painting for kids and henna available
• Live music and stage performances
• DJs and cultural performances
• Delicious food trucks and street food
• Roving performers bringing colour and energy throughout the festival
• Community stalls and activities
To add to the fun, free colour packs will be handed out randomly throughout the day, so keep an eye out and be ready to join in the celebration.
Whether you are coming with family, friends or the whole neighbourhood, the Festival of Colours promises a joyful day full of music, culture and colour for everyone.
