A Group Show with Deborah Eddy, Paul Eddy + Julie Martin

Beside Ourselves explores ideas of proximity. Proximity to each other as friends, partners, neighbours, and artists, and the relationships between the artist and artwork as a representation of self-image and personal histories. Julie Martin and Paul Eddy are both ceramicists each exploring clay and glazes in unique ways. Deborah Eddy is exhibiting paintings which show Paul Eddy’s ceramics in practical situations. .

Gore Junction is a loosely medieval inspired pop-up store curated by local artist Nikhita Taylor AKA Mother Gore. It involves 15 of Brisbane’s finest artists, providing an intimate experience stocked full of sustainably and locally made pieces.

‘Phases Moons Seasons’ A Group Show

PMS Collective began the way most good things do - women deciding to show up for each other.

The name is intentional, and what it stands for shifts with every exhibition. This Mother’s Day weekend, PMS Collective invites you to Phases, Moons, Seasons, a free exhibition exploring and celebrating feminine transformation, cycles, and power.

Fourteen local women artists come together for the collective’s debut show. Explore ceramics, painting, installation, printmaking and jewellery - from small pottery gifts perfect for Mother’s Day to larger sculptural and 2D works. Different practices, different stages of the journey, yet a shared commitment to collaborate and lift each other up..

Announcing Kieron Anderson as the 1st Occupy Resident 🤩🙌👏👏🥳🥳
Kieron Boona Anderson is a direct descendant of the Ngugi people of Moreton Island and Kullilli People of Thargomindah. Kieron is deeply connected to the continuation and sharing of knowledge from his grandparents homelands and the sacred systems that have been entrusted to him across both nations. He brings
together his professions as a trained chef and an emerging contemporary artist to share old and new stories, emphasising cultural resilience and food sovereignty.
Kieron will start his 11 week residency with this coming week on April 23rd.
