There’s something special about moving freely across the floor together🩷

Tonight we held our very first trial class for our Volar Alumni program and honestly, we were a little emotional.

Seeing so many familiar faces walk back through the studio doors, put their dance shoes on and take class with us again was something really special.

And the class was taught by Destini, who is also a Volar alumna and now teaches with us making the evening feel even more meaningful.

These are dancers we have watched grow up.
We’ve seen their first ballet steps, their first performances, their big achievements, their hard days, their friendships and all the little moments in between.

And then, as life does, they grew up and moved into new chapters.

So to see them come back tonight some after months, some after years simply because they wanted to dance with us again…

We were SO chuffed.

From 2027, our Alumni class will officially become part of the Volar timetable for dancers 17+, including those in their final year of school and beyond.

A relaxed 1.5-hour class of Pilates, strength and dance.
No uniform.
No pressure.
Just movement, music, memories, friendships and a chance to keep dancing.

Tonight was only a trial…

But looking around the room and seeing our past, present and future Volar dancers dancing together felt pretty special.

We can’t wait to welcome even more of you home in 2027.
