The Tinkers were well received in February. Alan Healy, Chris Wheeler, Simon Watts, Lara and Craig Sinclair set the scene with some fiery Irish Tunes. Taster for what was to come highlighting the wonderful music of Ireland. Some danceable favourites like 'Star of The County Down' and 'Step Out Mary' sung by songstress Lara and ballads like 'Leaving of Liverpool', Lakes of Pontchartrain' and Sally Gardens' were added to the set list. An outlier 'Wayfaring Stranger' was beautifully and sensitively delivered. Chris Wheeler gave us another classic in Stephen Foster's ' Hard Times' which is great to sing along too. The whole band was ably backed by Craig on guitar and the everpresent Simon on fiddle. Alan added stories and a bit of blarney to fill in the gaps which was amusing. 'Foggy Dew' the old Irish battle song was a must. The audience went home with a song on their heart and a night to savour. Thanks to the Tinkers especially Alan who has kept this band going for 20 years. Also thanks to Charlie and the staff at the Grandview Hotel. See you again.

The Peppercorns blend bluegrass drive, swing sparkle, cajun warmth and old-timey soul into a sound that feels equal parts front-porch jam and festival finale. Ex–West Aussie pilgrims Lara Norman and Craig Sinclair are joined by George Gerontakos on upright bass and Harry O'Donovan on banjo, guitar and fiddle, stretching the sound wide and deep with rich harmonies and rhythmic fire.

After a decade of delighting west coast audiences, they’re ready to fill Wentworth Falls Folk Night with their unique, homespun magic.

The first night of the Wentworth Falls Folk Club was truly amazing. The interest of the Wentworth Falls community was inspiring and very motivational in continuing to bring folk music to the Grandview Hotel. Thank you everyone for making it a night to remember. I hope you will continue to turn out to support this new initiative.

The drawcard proved very worthy. Dan Walsh a delightfully talented young man from the UK delivered in spades. He was personable, funny and genuine. He connected very well with the audience. His incredible talent on the banjo held the audience in thrall and his outstanding inspired Indian driving banjo was worth the price of admission. Also his sensitive folk songs were a nice counterpoint to the percussion sound of the banjo. Watch some of his performance below.
