I whipped up this pencil sketch of a Great Horned Owl late last year to enter in our local Warwick Art Gallery Participate Exhibition/Competition. I think the antique metal, scrolly frame adds to the atmosphere and dark feel of this piece that I aptly named "Night Stalker" 🦉
Although I didn't receive any prizes for this one, I found out yesterday that it sold during the exhibition, so that's pretty much as exciting as winning an award!! 🎉
I'm thrilled that "Night Stalker" resonated with someone enough for them to buy it (or maybe they just wanted the frame) 🤔😝😂 but either way, I hope it looks great in their home and they love it 🤗

The Warwick Art Gallery PARTicipate exhibition is running through until the 23rd November this year and features many stunning artworks by local artists 🎨
My piece, titled 'Warm and Fuzzy' is amongst the entries and although I didn't win any prizes I'm still quite proud of my first attempt at using pastels on paper to create this little guy 🐝
Make sure you check out the amazing local talent on display at the Gallery! Congrats to all the Award winners too 👍

My latest painting is another take on the gorgeous Cinque Terre in Italy, which was requested by my beautiful cousin Deb 🥰 I've painted this one in quite a simplistic, naive style using acrylics on canvas. I'm glad Deb loves it and I'm sure it will be quite an eye catcher on the hallway wall as you walk through her front door! 😊

Had a wonderful time with my cousin (and fellow talented crestive) Sandy Singh at the Pilton Creative Weekend this year, trying my hand at "quirky jewellery" making (using recycled cardboard, paper and resin) and "bizzare bird" painting on canvas (embellished with printed paper). So much fun to dabble in mixed media, which is something I've never done before! I think we did pretty well for our first try!!

Although I didn't receive any awards, it was wonderful to have my painting on display in the local 'pARTicipate' exhibition/competition last year and I was thrilled that someone fell in love with it enough to buy it and take it home ❤🙏😊

My sister has decided to start up a part-time, home-based, beauty therapy business called 'Natural Beauty by Trish' and asked me to design a logo with an earthy/natural feel using green and beige/brown tones. I kept the design simple and used this rather fluid leaf motif to symbolise nature and relaxation 🌿

I recently developed a logo for a new dental practice in Biloela - Ace Dental (check them out on fb)! 🦷
This logo needed to look similar to the already existing logo for the owner's Medical practice. Without having the original logo file to work with, I did my best to match the logo colours and font to the 'medical' logo and I think it turned out pretty well 😊 The logo has since been included on building signage, work uniforms and business cards and looks great!

Finished my latest art project today...a large painting for my Mother-in-Law who asked me to recreate an image she saw in a newspaper ad. It should look fabulous hanging up in the spot she has set aside for it 😊💋
