Come along to our Information Day for The Va**na Monologues and discover what this powerful production is all about.

Whether you're a seasoned performer, have dabbled in theatre before, or have never stepped onto a stage in your life, everyone is welcome. There are roles to suit a wide range of ages, personalities, experience levels, and we'd love to help you find the one that's right for you.

During the session we'll:
✨ Explore the Directors vision for the production.
✨ Talk through the monologues and what they involve.
✨ Cover important dates and the rehearsal process.
✨ Answer any questions you may have in a relaxed, supportive environment.

The Va**na Monologues explores a range of mature and adult themes. These will be discussed openly at the information day, giving you the opportunity to decide whether the production is the right fit for you. If you're unsure, our director will be happy to chat and answer any questions.

No pressure. No commitment. Just come along, meet the team, and see if this incredible production is something you'd like to be part of.

MEET THE CAST OF…

“ODELLE”
By A S Lockheart

This year we have four fantastic plays all by local playwrights and directed by six fabulous directors.

So let’s meet the cast of our first play for 2026.

The story: Odelle a young angel, struggles with self-confidence and bullies until she starts summoning dark magic. When her teacher discovers this she is cast out of her home city.

Ace O’Dwyer & Bonnie McKenzie are directing “Odelle”.

So let’s meet the cast: (We asked each cast member what they liked about their character)

Loralie Gibbs – Odelle
I enjoy the fact that Odelle is so unsure of herself that she gives off an energy of bouncing through emotions. This makes embodying her very fun to portray to an audience.

Ruby Shepherd – Viducia
I like how she has a firm, solid view of life, and how that makes it easy to hate her. I like the way she totally opposes the protagonist.

Amelia Dumsney – Adina
My character is fun (and kind of snarky) and is a good friend to Odelle. She is a fun character to act.

Hannah Rothman – Maia
I like how defensive my character is and I like getting to fight in the show.

Tallulah Rothman – Samuel
I like my character. It’s fun.

Chiara Kelly – Raguel
Something I like about my character is how they are so kind and interested in everything.

Margy Jackson – Magistra
Magistra is ethereal and represents kindness and compassion. She is a benevolent Ange.

Cruz Bermingham – Michael
I like that Michael is fun to play, and I get to be snobby.

Thomas Campbell – Druid
Magical vibe. Part of compass – lot of world building quickly. Supporting, friendly, mentor type of role.

Wendy Hunter is directing “A Way with Words”.

So let’s meet the cast: (We asked each cast member what they liked about their character)

Cindy Lee Morgan – Kirsty
Kirsty’s determination is a fine attribute, but at times her delivery is questionable.

Raine Forrest – Paige
Paige is wonderfully obsequious. We’ve all met a Paige before, she’s familiar and in her own way, hilarious in her subservience to Kirsty.

Laura Telford – Sarah
Sarah is professional under stress. She cares about the show but when pushed maintains her dignity. She is reliable and relatable despite her young age.

Paul Fimmel – Ralph
Ralph wants to see the play as it was written, but others have their own vision, which infuriates Ralph.

Farah Hamouda – Emma
Emma is passionate about fashion and puts so much energy into curating the best possible wardrobe for the characters as she can.

Isaac Rothman – Grant
Grant is a method actor who has lots of questions about his character and the set and the plot. Just so many questions about everything.

Linda Williams – Georgie
Georgie has a demonstrative way of expressing herself. That fact about her character resonates so closely with me.

Flynn El-Hage – Nick
Nick is just how he is, and so relatable, often questioning the abstracts of theatre and his involvement in it.
