Last Friday we had CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes - CCWF playgroup - so much fun playing games, dancing , singing and sharing stories on Wayilwan Country!

Yaama everyone - Wayilwan language is still classified by UNESCO as a critically endangered language.

Many of our local Wayilwan stories are also critically endangered.

So last week we continued recording young Wayilwan mob singing songs in Wayilwan, as well as local stories - very timely for Book Week!!

Amazing job young Wayilwan mob!!

So special to have these three young mob yesterday afternoon - Rueben, Freya and Grace recorded for our album of early childhood songs in Wayilwan Language!!

Yaama - so deadly, so many mob travelled to support Warren mob in story telling and truth telling.

Gamba ngindu (thank you) to all mob who travelled - from Bundjalung Country , Ngemba Country , Wangaaypuwan, Barkindji, Murrawarri, Darkinjung and Wiradjuri Country and so many other First Nations as far south as Deniliquin.

Many came as part of the Living Languages Gathering at WWA - which was held in the same week of the Gibaymbi-li performance at the Beemunnel.

Gamba ngindu (thank you) to all who travelled to support our Language revitalisation and local Wayilwan knowledge sharing!!

which was just a small part of our local Wayilwan narrative Gibaymbi-li performed last week at the Beemunnel!!

it was shared last week as part of a longer local Wayilwan narrative, Gibaymbi-li. Very special.

Wings and tail of Maliyan-ga were designed and made by Peter Mackay, Wayilwan artist of Warren.
