Our Story

Originally known as the Newcastle Gilbert & Sullivan Players, we first declared St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Georgetown as the home of our dinner-and-a-show shtick back in 2014, with a production of Ray Cooney’s Out of Order. We suppose that the season went very well, as we’ve maintained momentum and only gone from strength to strength, with subsequent productions such as Don Zolidis’s The Bold, The Young, and The Murdered, Neil Simon’s Rumours and California Suite, and Alan Ayckbourn’s Season’s Greetings.

Now, officially rebranded as Newcastle Dinner Theatre as of 2019, we look forward to bringing show after fabulous show, paired with meal after fabulous meal to not only our loyal patrons, but newcomers to our wonderful productions.
