On 27 June 2026, the Chinese Association of Victoria (CAV) was honoured to welcome Jess Wilson MP, Leader of the Opposition in Victoria, together with several members of the Liberal Party, for a visit to our community.

During the visit, Ms Wilson enjoyed a friendly game of table tennis with several CAV members, highlighting the importance of community engagement, active lifestyles, and social connection. The delegation also toured the CAV Community Ethnic School, where they met with volunteers and gained an insight into the school's commitment to preserving Chinese language, culture, and heritage through community education.

We sincerely thank Ms Wilson and the Liberal Party delegation for taking the time to visit CAV. Their interest in our organisation and the valuable work we do for the multicultural community is greatly appreciated. We look forward to continuing to build positive relationships that support our community and its future development.

The Chinese Association Of Victoria have been an integral part of Knox for so many years now and the place wouldn’t be the same without them.

So it was wonderful to catch up with Shirley and Dominic from the team to talk about the work they do locally in supporting and nourishing Chinese culture and sharing it with everyone.

Was also great to see a number of projects delivered by the team thanks to support from the State Labor Government!
