The Wandiligong Nut Festival celebrates our local growers, the end of harvest and the fabulous varieties of nuts and other fresh produce available in our cool climate during Autumn. The only nut festival of its kind in Australia! The venue is Alpine Park, Wandiligong, nestled among heritage trees and

gums with Morses Creek flowing close by. Come and enjoy local stallholders, cooking demonstrations, roasted chestnuts, food and wine, music and games for children.

As the afternoon sun dips below the valley ridge and the mountain chill creeps in, everything centers around the warmth of the fire pits.

There's a beautiful, unhurried rhythm to this time of day. Strangers share a bench, hands are warmed over glowing embers, and the true spirit of the harvest festival settles in. It's an unspoken promise to keep things simple, warm, and authentic.

You haven’t truly experienced the Wandiligong Nut Festival until you’ve witnessed the legendary community Salami Judging!

From secret family recipes passed down through generations to intense deliberation over curing textures, this is where high country heritage meets pure, wonderful eccentricity. It’s traditions like these that keep our festival independent, raw, and completely un-corporate.

A note from the heart of our committee. //

For 25 years, this festival has evolved alongside our community. To keep it thriving, authentic, and sustainable, we need new perspectives and fresh energy to help steer the ship.

We are officially looking for a couple of passionate locals to step into volunteer roles of Secretary and Promotions Coordinator!

If you have a knack for organisation (Secretary) or a love for storytelling and digital connection (Promotions), we would love to welcome you in. You don't need a polished corporate CV - just a love for our valley and a willingness to collaborate.

When the autumn sun dipped below the ridge and the mountain chill settled in, the valley truly caught fire. 🔥✨

There is nothing quite like the collective gasp of a crowd gathered on the grass, completely locked into the raw, hypnotic energy of our fire performers.

These are the moments that remind us why we do this. It’s not just about putting on a show; it’s about creating a space where the community can gather, hold its breath together, and find that perfect collective frequency.

Slowing down to create. 🧶 //

Over at The Cats Pyjamas craft space, it was all about sustainable, tactile, hands-on creativity. We loved seeing adults and kids alike step away from the rush of everyday life to make something beautiful with their own hands. Next door kids could make wooden swords with Tim!

This focus on DIY culture, heritage, and sustainability is a pillar of what makes our harvest festival so intentionally different.

A huge thank you to the makers and tutors who held space for our collective creativity! 🎨

The Wandi Big Top Sounds 🎧✨ //

From homegrown regional talents to our massive headliners, the soundtrack to Wandi Nut Fest 2026 was absolutely unmatched. There is nothing quite like the collective hum of a crowd fully locked into the music under canvas.

We are so grateful to every artist who graced our stages and brought their unique frequency to the valley.

Community connection is gold //

The fires were warm, but the community spirit was warmer. 🔥 Behind the scenes, a tiny, dedicated committee of local volunteers worked through weekends, gave up sleep, and put their whole hearts into organising this year’s 25th Anniversary.

From handling logistics to serving at the bar and stoking the fires, our volunteer crew is the true backbone of WNF. We love our valley, and we are incredibly proud of the experience we built together. Drop a 🌰 in the comments to show some love to the tireless crew who made it happen! The kids zone rocked!! //

High energy, low screens, big memories. 🎪🫧 The Kids Zone was an absolute wonderland this year! Watching the "Little Nuts" chase giant bubbles, tackle circus workshops, and smile from ear to ear under the autumn sun is exactly why we love this event.

Wandi Nut Fest has always been, and will always be, a place for families to connect and create slow, beautiful memories together.
