Meet Van my 7-year-old and quite possibly my favourite artist ā¤ļø

He draws the BEST animals and I genuinely adore every single weird and wonderful one of them.

Iā€™m constantly asking him to draw me more because they make me so bloody happy.

Then a friend suggested I turn his drawings into ā€œreal lifeā€ animals using AIā€¦

And LOOK AT THEM. šŸ˜‚

Iā€™ve become completely obsessed with seeing his imagination brought to life while keeping all the wonky little details that make them so Van.

Giving a piece of my art to one of my biggest supporters is the very least I could do

Apparently this cute little city-style piece now belongs to my son šŸ˜†

He took one look at it, decided it was his city, named it ā€œVanvillā€ā€¦ and honestly, who am I to argue with the claimer of my art?

A colourful little maze of wonky buildings, roads, patterns and absolutely questionable town planning, all created with acrylic paint pens on 100% cotton paper and now framed

I actually love how much there is to look at in this little oneā€¦ and apparently Van does too. Enough to claim an entire bloody city. šŸ˜‚

'SAVE ME A SPOT '

Iā€™ve been working on lots of smaller pieces lately and really felt like I needed to go BIG again ā€” and while I was at it, I thought Iā€™d give paper a go!

And this fun, colourful, slightly chaotic beauty is what happened

Created with watercolour and acrylic on 100% cotton watercolour paper, then framed and suddenly she became a whole bloody moment.

Sheā€™s bright, sheā€™s busy, sheā€™s fun and thereā€™s always room for one moreā€¦

And honestly, I think her name might be one of my favourites yet.

Yep. I love her!

A colourful little Australian-ish garden of wonky blooms, leafy bits and gumnut-ish things ā€” because apparently botanical accuracy isnā€™t really my concern. šŸ˜‚

And the name Bush Blush felt pretty bloody fitting for a hairdresser/makeup artist who seems to have accidentally become obsessed with painting flowers. šŸ’„šŸŒø
