Goodbye from Oddball Theatre 🎭 ❤️🎉

I am so excited to be passing the baton onto Riverina Academy Of Performing Arts as I draw the curtain at Oddball Theatre.

Oddball Theatre started out with a mission to bring fun, safe and creative theatre to our young people. I have been able to enjoy so many amazing and wonderful years with you all.

From adding Dungeons and Dragons and costume making to the timetable to travelling the Riverina with workshops at local libraries & Town Halls, to big shows in the Civic & Playhouse Theatres. All while meeting more and more students wanting to expand their skills and being able to welcome them with open arms.

In 2025, I took off to Melbourne, with Iain Wright deciding to step in and helm Oddball, rather than ending the show there.
He fit in perfectly and was embraced by the cohort, putting on two 'big shows' incorporating the skills of all our 'Makers & Shakers'.
From this it was clear to see he was destined to combine his years of training, love of community and joy of theatre into a company. And so with my excitement & full support, Riverina Academy of Performing Arts opens its doors in 2026.

Wagga Wagga and the Riverina really embraced the biggest Oddball out there, me. You were home for over a decade & I will always be back, probably backstage drying tears and calming fears, offering snacks and pulling silly faces - my favourite parts of theatre have and will always be the connection.

So it's a big goodbye but a bigger hello to Riverina Academy of Performing Arts. I wish Iain Wright and the gang there all the best, and of course will be visiting xx

We're thrilled to announce that Oddball Theatre’s Makers and Shakers program is diving headfirst into a brand-new production:
Alice’s Adventures – a whimsical journey through Wonderland!

After the wonderful success of our debut show, the Makers and Shakers crew is back and bigger than ever! Our first production brought the house down with laughter, imagination, and loads of heart—and we can't wait to do it all again with a brand-new cast of creative kids.

This is Oddball’s second major show, and we’re inviting Wagga’s brightest young stars to be part of the magic. Whether your child dreams of playing a Mad Hatter, a Cheshire Cat, or creating the wild world of Wonderland backstage — there’s a place for them here.

💡 What is Makers and Shakers?
It’s a unique, hands-on theatre program that builds an original production around the kids themselves. From story development to sets, costumes, and performance — our young artists shape the show from start to finish.

🗓️ Classes run weekly, leading to a fully staged production of Alice’s Adventures in the Term 3 Holidays.
🎭 Open to all regional youth aged 7–18.
📍 Held in Wagga Wagga.
🎉 A chance to perform on stage, make new friends, and create something amazing.

And yes, there will be tea parties.

4-8yrs - MINI THEATRE - Wednesday 10am-10:45am
8-12yrs - JUNIOR DRAMA - Tuesdays and Fridays 4pm-5:30pm
12-18yrs - SENIOR DRAMA - Thursdays 4pm-5:30pm
8-18yrs - MUSICAL THEATRE - Wednesdays 4pm-5:00pm
16+ - ADULT DRAMA CLASSES - Fridays 5:30pm-6:30pm
8-18yrs - MAKERS AND SHAKERS - Tuesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm
All Ages - CAN'T SING CHOIR - Bi-weekly Tuesdays 6:30pm - 8pm (May 6th)

Dungeons and Dragons is back on Wednesdays (5pm-7pm) and Saturdays (1pm-4pm)
or hang out at Lego club - Bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8pm (May 29th)

$250 per class term or $30 each
