There is a gas kiln available, at a cost for members using the kiln. Firings which include the work of several members can be organised. Costs are then divided based on number and size of pieces fired. Members wishing to fire the kiln themselves must have completed three (3) firing lessons. The club owns a raku kiln and organises raku firing days for interested members, generally in the winter period. The slab roller, extruder and pottery wheels are charged as a daily session fee of $5 for members, and must be signed into the session register book. The equipment is generally accessible to members most days of the year for key holders, *please note that during core opening hours there is the exception when pre-booked student lessons are utilising the equipment. (Members can contact Di the lesson coordinator for info on access/exclusion dates/times if use of specific equipment is required on a desired date or time )
