We are a local mother and daughter who have 12 rescue cats and kittens. These Cats come from bad homes, mistreated living conditions and have had life threatening medical issues. Rescue Cat Art allows the Cats to express their new lease on life through paintings as well as putting a small dent into the enormous vet bill. Our paintings are made by our cats and kittens using safe paint and freedom of expression.

A belated welcome to 2026.
Last year, our beloved Mouse, Prince, and Kadar passed.
Each with unexpected ailments.
Cats are such good actors when it comes to not showing pain.
Prince was short of his 20th birthday.
I nursed all through their last days, but in the end, with their suffering over and the vets unable to assist any further, they all died loved and comforted.
One lesson I learnt is never try CPR on a cat. My daughter performed CPR twice under the guidance of a nurse on the phone.
It was cruel and made the end more traumatic for us all, but especially Kadar.
For Mouse, she was rushed to the vets in the early hours twice as she needed urgent transfusions. This prolonged her for a few hours, but to no avail.
Both these lessons taught us that no matter how much we love our pets, sometimes it is better not to try to prolong their fate.
Please, is prolonging the inevitable more for you than for the animals?
Love and Light

Here we are, another year later. The trio are getting older now, 11 years old. Mini the star has been good and has had no flareups of her nasty Pillowfoot, due to to her aids. Mouse is as bossy as ever. Saboo is now on. special urine/kidney foods. They, along with the other seven rescue cats, all wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a much-improved 2023.

Very interesting article.

Researchers, acting as "genetic paleontologists," recently discovered that the X and Y chromosomes of cats and humans are remarkably alike, despite the fact that the two species haven't shared a common ancestor for about 90 million years—around the same time the human line diverged from goats, shee...

Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2020. Blessings be for all our loved furbabies who have passed. May mankind realise that animals are not property. They are living feeling entities just like us. May the butcherous ways of mankind lessen from now on and respect replace. Prayers for all the animals impacted by the worlds catastrophes happening at the moment. Blessings be bestowed on all the animal carers in the world. We are a special breed of human.

Sorry for there being lack of posts. Minnie has had a very bad year with Pillow Foot due to her HIV. Back and forward to the vets. Poor darling. In January we lost our matriarch Snip at the age of 17 and a half through the negligence of a Chemist who compounded the incorrect dosages of her seizure medicine. We moved house so our multi-cat home is still sorting itself out. We have 11 rescued fur babies. Down to one rescue dog. The other two were poisoned by the old neighbors Church Group volunteers continuing to spray full-strength Roundup. And of course our 13 Indian Ring Necks of who the original rescue Goldie is still going strong. Merry Christmas and a healthier New Year to everyone and thanks for your patience with our silence. ###

Happy 2018 everyone. We haven't posted this year as lots happening behind the scenes. Sadly, we learned Minnie has HIV which after testing showed she was born with it. She needs lots of TLC and medications when she develops problems. Our matriarch Snip reached the age of 17.6 years before passing. Snip began having seizures, put her on medications which the compounding chemist got the dosages wrong, which caused her to have a stroke and become blind. Finally her heart gave out. She is extremely missed. Hope your year has been better than ours. This new year will be a positive one for us.
