Wagait Arts Group has set a date for its AGM.

9 am Saturday 26 April at Wagait Beach Community Centre.

All members are encouraged to attend.

New members, returning members and existing members will all be welcomed with open arms.

Some of the existing committee are wishing to continue as committee members next year but we will be looking for new people to get involved. Is that you? 😊

Mark the meeting date in your diary now.

Agenda and other documents will be issued shortly.

Here we are WAGgers, the first month of 2026 is out of the way!!!

Let’s get down to business, and fun.

First, the business.

Annual memberships are now due. We still have the very low membership fee of $10. We have included a membership renewal/application form which includes our bank details for payment by bank transfer.

We are keen to see as many past members renew their membership as possible. New members excite us too so please jump on board and get involved.

The second bit of business is that we are still to hold our AGM. Our books are currently with our auditor and as soon as the audit has been completed we will call the AGM. Please give plenty of thought to whether you or anyone you know would be able to contribute to the future of WAG by being a committee member.

Now for the fun!!!

We are in the early stages of planning to hold 3-4 art workshops in the first half of the year. More details will be announced when plans have come together a bit more.

Two key aspects of the workshops are that members will have subsidised pricing for the workshops and workshop attendees will have a finished piece of art that could be exhibited at a WAG exhibition.

Exciting!!

So jump in now and get your membership sorted. Please complete the form and return it to us, then pop your payment through to our bank account. We will be very grateful. You can return the membership form via Messenger or email ([email protected]).

We will keep working to get these workshops happening and let you know more as soon as we can.

The AGM will also happen soon, keep an eye out for details.

A message from the WAG committee.

Last week the committee met for the first time this year and we can tell you there is excitement planned for this year. 😄

Yes, we have dusted ourselves off and are busy getting things organised.

It is definitely a “watch this space” moment.

Members and would be members please give us 30 minutes of your day and help keep WAG moving.

Special General Meeting of Wagait Arts Group this Sunday at 5pm. Wagait Community Centre.

The purpose of the meeting is to appoint an Auditor.

Please come along to ensure we have a quorum and can get the business done.

Memberships are only $10 per person and 2026 memberships can be paid now.

Street Art comes to Wagait Beach!!!

Wagait Shire Council will be holding an unveiling ceremony at 5.30 tomorrow (25th September) to officially reveal a mural that artistically represents where we live.

The sneak peeks suggest that it will be amazing.

All are welcome, so come along and share the joy!!

We have now set the date for our AGM.

It will be held at the Wagait Beach Community Centre on Sunday 16th February at 9.30am

We will be looking for new committee members, so please give some thought as to whether you, or others that you know, could come on board.

The agenda includes proposed changes to our constitution. Please check out the changes that are proposed so that you are ready to consider and vote on them at the AGM.

Links to all of the documents are on our website at www.wagaitartsgroup.com including a Committee Nomination Form, a 2025 Membership Application and a Proxy Appointment Form.

2025 Memberships are now due. If you haven’t already paid, payment will be required prior to the meeting. We can accept payment on the day or you can pay before then if you wish. Payment details are on the membership form.

If you can’t attend the meeting you can appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf.
