This is 'The Sea She Is To Me' by Tanya Sparkle from Redfern, NSW. Tanya's sculpture won First Prize last year ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ† in the Urunga Small Sculpture Prize! According to the artist, this work is about the underworld; what lies beneath the ocean and the skin, what we collect, and what we try to hold, to be contained as a memory. It's made using old lost wax technique carving to make the sterling silver nautilus shell and rose bronze hand, all under a hand blown glass dome.
