hillsceneLIVE is an arts festival supporting emerging and experimental artists. As a festival, we are dedicated to supporting artists who take juicy risks, ask big questions, and make bold statements with their work. We traditionally support live art and performance, which covers Theatre, Dance, Sound Art, Cabaret, Spoken Word, Live Art and especially those works that don't fit easily into these category's! hillsceneLIVE is the only program of its kind in the Dandenong Ranges, which fringes onto regional Victoria. It brings together artists of diverse practices, in a supportive and developmental capacity. Through the program, 200+ artists have been supported to create new work, ask new questions (of themselves and the world), and forge partnerships with other artists, makers and the community.

Join us for the full festival experience from 1pm! Venue opens earlier so you can explore more of Burrinja in the morning from 10am.
Book your tickets and spend the afternoon with us - 1pm to 5pm - and get the whole, immersive, satisfying, experimental performance-art experience.
Eight incredible artists. Eight diverse works.
Be guided through a curated festival experience, or take your time and explore the transient and durational works at your own pace. Outside, inside. Upstairs, downstairs. Through parts of Burrinja you won't have been before.
Heads-up though: most works are performed only once, so being here for the whole window really matters. Full program released soon!
Come early-grab a drink and snack at the Burrinja cafe and join us for the Welcome to Country promptly at 1pm.

Brigid Morgan is a Melbourne-based performer, dramaturg, and multidisciplinary artist
working across live art, installation, and physical performance.
Reliquary, Darling: a ritual of post-reproductive radiance is a first-development
durational installation-performance born from a hysterectomy — and a body's history of
all it has held. The work occupies a clinical pink space populated by microscope slides in
salt, resin reliquaries, and one living specimen: the artist herself, projection-mapped in
gory glamour.
This is a work exploring the body's capacity for transformation and what grows in spaces
opened — the body as sacred object, the self as exhibit, the post-reproductive era as
luminous rather than diminished.
Audiences move through the installation in intimate 20-minute sessions, encountering
objects, text, and a performer who loops, questions, confronts, holds, and radiates.
Reliquary, Darling is camp, clinical, and quietly ancestral.
