For the love of Board Form Concrete - so wonderful to see the talk last night by German Architect Isabella Leber of Pool Leber Architekten and their love of off form concrete ( strangely more cost effective than timber and steel structures in Germany. )

Thankyou Brickworks Building Products Stephen Varady Architecture for another fabulous event , so so many fabulous catch ups .

, deep in the Yarramalong Valley for a very passionate client who loves vintage cars ( and concrete )

I hope this gets built one day soon, we have DA Approval with Central Coast Council, not an easy process given the access and bushfire risk.

Such an incredibly beautiful site with a natural watercourse and remnant rainforest.

Working with incredible Clients , Consultants and Builders has been a highlight of my Career …

You don’t get a Floating Floor, a stair with a beautiful edge detail or a perfect handrail by simply clicking your fingers and hey presto … it takes years and years of knowledge to understand how structure and material come together - and trust / faith that it will be made well.

On this award winning project it all came together beautifully for amazing clients ❤️‍🩹

Not many days go by that I don’t think of clients who never made it long enough to enjoy their homes - tragedy can strike at any given moment.

But this was meant to be a Happy Post about the Structural Engineers SDA Structures and Builders Matthew Minard…the beautiful thing about working with a great team is the mutual respect, no fuss attitude.

I have known Structural Engineer Charles Blumer - most definitely one of Sydney’s best … since I was 11 years old … the older nerdy brother of one of my besties .

Long live the Nerds 🤓

A lot of love went into this bathroom / house renovation.

So excited at the last site inspection I forgot to take off my sunglasses 😎

Cannot wait for my beautiful client to finally move in to her dream home.
