The “what the bloody hell have we done?” stage of a reno. 😅

Walls opened up. Roof exposed. Rubble everywhere. It’s hard to picture your new home when the old one’s in pieces.

Then, bit by bit, it comes together. Tiles go down, tapware goes in and the kitchen lights finally switch on. You start recognising the home you had in mind.

There’s a whole lot of planning, trade coordination and hands-on work between those two moments. That’s where our TIG crew gets stuck in, bringing Sydney renos together through the dust and chaos.

Be honest: are you asking for daily progress pics, or would you rather skip straight to the reveal? 👇

Part 2 Green flag or red flag, Sydney renovation edition.

You find the perfect benchtop at a clearance sale and buy it before your plans are even finalised.

Then: you get your whole renovation priced by your builder before you walk into the bank for finance.

One feels like a win on the day. The other feels like paperwork. Only one of them really looks after your budget once construction gets moving.

Make your call before I give mine.

Swipe across.

This is what an office fit-out looks like when people actually have to work in it every day.

Exposed black ceiling, warm timber joinery in the kitchenette, a fluted breakout table and hard-wearing carpet where the foot traffic is.

Good commercial construction doesn’t need to be loud. It needs to work. Somewhere to grab lunch, somewhere for a quick catch-up, and room to get your head down. That’s what we aim for on every Sydney office renovation.

Would you happily come into this office on a Monday?

Renovate or knock it down and start again?

It’s a question a lot of homeowners eventually face, especially when the renovation list starts getting longer and longer.

But before you reach for the wrecking ball, look at what you already have.

If the structure, character or parts of the home are worth keeping, a smart renovation can give you the best of both worlds: keep what works, change what doesn’t, and build around the way you actually want to live.

The real warning sign?

When you’re changing everything just to make the house work.

That’s when it’s worth stepping back and asking whether an extension, major renovation, or starting again makes more sense.

Because the right answer isn’t always “renovate.”

It’s the option that gives you the best outcome for your home, your family and your investment.

If this was your house, would you renovate it or knock it down and start fresh? 👇

You don’t fall in love with a home because of one big feature. It’s the little things that get you.

The soft lighting.
The curves in the bathroom.
The stone that catches your eye.
The timber that warms everything up.
The bedroom that actually feels like somewhere you want to switch off.
And the backyard that makes you want to stay for dinner.

None of these details happened by accident.

They’re the result of dozens of decisions made throughout the renovation, choosing what works together, what feels right, and what will still feel right years from now.

That’s what we love about Sydney construction. The final result might look effortless, but there’s a lot of thought behind every corner.

Which detail in this home would you steal for your own renovation? 👇

When “someday” becomes “this year.” ✨

The backyard you only walk through to take the bins out. The pool that’s more work than fun.

We get used to it. And without noticing, “someday” turns into “maybe never.”

This Sydney home was exactly that: good bones, a great block and a backyard full of potential, just waiting for someone to see it.

A good renovation isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about building a home that fits the way you want to live. Summer nights by the pool. Barbecues that run late. A space you’re proud to share.

You don’t always need to move to get the home you want. Sometimes it just takes the right builders and the decision to start.

What’s the ONE thing you’d change in your home first? 👇
Drop it in the comments. We read every one.

Not every renovation decision is about getting the biggest, most expensive house on the street.

Sometimes the better decision is the one that makes your home work better for you, even if it takes a little longer to get it right.

A renovation shouldn’t be a competition with your neighbours. It should solve the problems you actually have, fit the way you live, and make sense for your budget and long-term plans.

Because the most expensive house on the street isn’t necessarily the best home for your family.

Follow TIG and stay tuned for part 2.

This is what “home” is supposed to feel like. 🤍

Warm interiors, thoughtful details, a backyard made for slow afternoons, and a kitchen that actually feels like the heart of the home.

A Sydney renovation isn’t just about making a house look better, it’s about creating a space you genuinely want to come home to.

It’s the details you notice without even realising you’ve noticed them.

A curved stone edge that softens the room.
An arched seat that turns an empty corner into something useful.
Hidden shelf lighting that adds warmth.
Brass details that tie the kitchen together.
Stone meeting timber without feeling forced.
And a divider that gives you privacy without closing the space in.

None of these choices are huge on their own.

But put them together, and suddenly the whole renovation feels more considered, more comfortable, and more intentional.

That’s what good Sydney renovation design is about. It’s not always about adding more, sometimes it’s about getting the small things exactly right.

Which detail caught your eye first? 👇

This is the part of a renovation we all wait for.

From the finished façade to the warm timber floors, detailed joinery, natural light and that kitchen, every part of this home has been brought together to feel calm, considered and completely liveable.

The best part of a Sydney renovation isn’t just seeing how different the house looks.

It’s seeing how all the planning, decisions and construction work finally come together into a home that feels right.
