Men's health affects families, friends and communities. We welcome people of all ages and genders to join the conversation.

🌿 Now showing: 'Bioculture' by AV
📍 Ground Floor Display Case at Hive

'Bioculture' explores the deep and interconnected relationship between biodiversity and cultural knowledge, reminding us that ecosystems are not separate from people, but shaped, understood, and sustained through ongoing relationships with Country.

These powerful images emerge from time spent on Country, grounded in observation, cultural connection, and the sharing of knowledge. They reflect a way of seeing the world where land, memory, and spirit are inseparable.

At its heart, 'Bioculture' speaks to the understanding that Country is more than a physical place, it lives in community, in story, and in practice. It is through these connections that knowledge is carried forward.

✨ A quiet but powerful display that invites reflection on the relationship between culture, community, and the natural world.

'Bioculture' is on display on the ground floor of Hive until 26 July.

'Men With Heart' - A Paul Hoelen and TasMen Exhibition is now showing in the Art Gallery at Hive

Shot in complete confidentiality over more than two decades, this deeply intimate body of work captures the lived experiences of men with honesty, care, and respect.

This powerful documentary exhibition challenges and expands the conversation around masculinity in Australian culture. In a time when public narratives often focus on the darker aspects of what men are capable of, 'Men With Heart' offers a thoughtful counterbalance, shining a light on vulnerability, courage, and emotional openness.

Through striking photographic portraits, the exhibition reveals moments of raw humanity, men coming together to reflect on their lives, confront personal challenges, and explore what it means to grow and change. These images are supported by written stories and poetry, offering further insight into the depth and complexity of their experiences.

Also featured are video interviews from participants of the Tasmanian Men’s Gatherings, offering honest and heartfelt reflections on identity, connection, and growth.

✨ 'Men With Heart' is now showing in the Art Gallery at Hive until 26 July.

🚀 Next up for Sound in Space: Golden Sunbird

Strap in — Sound in Space continues with Golden Sunbird’s cosmic psych-rock experience.

This Tasmanian outfit is a Sound in Space favourite, with a reputation for immersive, multi-sensory performances that weave together sci-fi storytelling, space-age poetry and expansive soundscapes. Their music draws inspiration from iconic acts like Pink Floyd, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Tangerine Dream, blending hypnotic guitar work, swirling synths and otherworldly theremin into a sound that feels both nostalgic and entirely new.

Their live show is more than a performance. It’s a journey. One that explores the unknowns of space and the depths of the human subconscious, blurring the line between narrative and atmosphere.

Inside the planetarium dome, this experience is amplified through immersive visuals, transforming the space into a shifting, cosmic landscape.

✨ One day only – Sunday 21 June
✨ Limited seating
